About Alleppey Beach
Alleppey Beach is also known as Alappuzha Beach. It is formed by the shores of the Arabian Sea. In addition, Alleppey Beach is also known to be the busiest coast of entire Kerala. The time of sun set is perfect time to visit this beach. At this time the sun is setting behind the horizon of azure waters, you will be entranced to see the display of wide array of colors reflected in the sea-water.
There are several recreation facilities and toy train available for kids at the children's park known as the Vijaya Beach Park in the Alappuzha beach. Alleppey Beach is blessed with nature's green beauties such as lagoons, vast lakes and numerous fresh water rivers.
Major Tourist attraction : Alappuzha Lighthouse is located near this beach. It is also an interesting spot for tourists. Kerala government has prohibited entry inside the lighthouse. The hight of this lighthouse is approximately 1,000 ft. Other important part of this beach is ruins of Alappuzha Sea Bridge. The pier, which extends into the sea here, is around 140 years old.
