In Annakoot Festival people worship the Loard Krishna as Govardhan.It is also called as Govardhan Puja .It celebrates an event in Krishna’s life in which he lifted the Govardhan Mountain on his little finger for seven days, to protect the cows and people of Vrindavana against the deluge of rain sent by Lord Indra. on this day the idols of Govardhan are made of cow dung and kept at the doorstep of every house. During this festival 56 types of food items are prepared.
