Bengali puranpoli

^ Preparation Time : 10 Minutes. ^ Cooking Time : 15 to 20 Minutes. ^  Makes 4 Bengali puranpoli

बंगाली पूरनपोली 

Ingredients (सामग्री)

For the dough

Wheat Flour (गेहूं का आटा) ---------- 3/4 Cup

Milk (दूध) ---------- 2 tablespoon

Oil (तेल) ---------- 1/2 tablespoon 

For filling (भरने के लिए)

Soaked Bengal gram (चने की दाल) ---------- 1 1/2 cup

Sugar (चीनी) ---------- 1/4 Cup

Readymade milk Masala Powder (रेडीमेड मिल्क मसाला पाउडर) ---------- 2 1/2 tablespoon

Ghee (घी) ---------- For cooking

How to make Bengali puranpoli (बंगाली पूरनपोली बनाने की विधि)

-> First filtrate the Wheat Flour (गेहूं का आटा) in a plate. (आटे को छाने)

-> Now you add Milk (दूध) + Oil (तेल) and mixed very well. Now with the help of Water (पानी) make a soft dough (गूथा आटा). Leave this soft dough (गूथा आटा) for 15 - 20 minute. (आटे में दूध + तेल मिलाये और पानी की सहायता दे नरम गूथ ले)

-> Divide this dough (गूथा आटा) into 4 equal portions and keep aside.(गूथे आटे को बराबर भाग में बाटे)

For the filling (भरने के लिए)

-> Now drain the water of Bengal gram (चने की दाल) and add 1/2 cup water and cook in a pressure cooker for 2 to 3 whistles.(चने की दाल + पानी को प्रेशर कुकर में पका ले)

-> When the pressure of the cooker it remove then open the lid of cooker.(प्रेशर खत्म  होने पर ढक्कन खोले)

-> Now mashed the Bengal gram (चने की दाल) and add Sugar (चीनी) + Readymade milk Masala Powder (रेडीमेड मिल्क मसाला पाउडर) and mixed very well. (चने की दाल + चीनी + रेडीमेड मिल्क मसाला पाउडर मिलाये)

-> Now Divide this filling into 4 equal portions and keep aside. (इस मिश्रण को बराबर भाग में बाटे)

-> Now roll out the one portion of the dough (गूथा आटा) into a circle of 3 " diameter using little flour. (लोई को बेल ले)

-> Place one portion of the filling mixture in the centre of the circle. Fold all the side and seal tightly.(इसमें दाल मिश्रण भर कर चारो तरफ से बंद करे)

-> Now again roll out it into a circle of 3 " diameter using a little flour to roll. (दुबारा से बेले)

-> Now heat the tava on a gas. Put it on the tava and with the help of Ghee (घी) cooked it till they turn to light brown in color. Repeat the remaining dough and make a Bengali puranpoli (बंगाली पूरनपोली) (गरम तवे पर पूरनपोली डाले और घी की सहायता से दोनों तरफ से सेक ले)

-> Bengali puranpoli (बंगाली पूरनपोली) is ready and served it.

Nutritional value (पोषण का महत्व) :  Calcium : 32.5 mg per serving

Note : A famous Bengali sweet, made using chana dal and wheat flour to curb sweet tooth of the mother- to-be
