M. P. Birla Planetarium started functioning from September 29, 1962. Birla Planetarium is located in center of Jaipur and it is sprawling 9.8 acre of land. This complex is the houses of science museum, library, an information processing and dissemination cell, a computer science. It also has a auditorium that has the seating capacity of 1350 people. It is one of the most contemporary planetarium in India. This Planetarium is equipped with an Electronics Laboratory for design and fabrication of scientific equipment.
