Butter Chicken

Ingredients (सामग्री)

For marinade (अचार के लिए)

Chicken (चिकन) ---------- 300 gms

Thick Yogurt (गाढ़ी दही) ---------- 2 tablespoon

Red Chilli Powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) ---------- 1/2 smallspoon

Tandoori masala (तंदूरी मसाला) ---------- 1 smallspoon

Tandoori color (तंदूरी रंग) ---------- 1/4 smallspoon

Salt (नमक) ---------- 1 smallspoon

Ginger-Garlic paste (अदरक-लहसुन पेस्ट) ---------- 1 tablespoon

For Curry (करी के लिए)

Butter (मक्खन) ---------- 2 tablespoon

Garlic paste (लहसुन पेस्ट) ---------- 2 smallspoon

Chopped green chilli (कटी हुई हरी मिर्च) ---------- 1 smallspoon

Cumin powder (जीरा पाउडर) ---------- 1/2 smallspoon

Red Chilli Powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) ---------- 1/2 smallspoon

Salt (नमक) ---------- To taste

Tomato (टमाटर) ---------- 6 in medium sized

Cashewnuts (काजू) ---------- 10 - 12 

Tomato Ketchup (टोमैटो केचप) ---------- 1 tablespoon 

Sugar (चीनी) ---------- 1/2 smallspoon

Water (पानी) ---------- 1/4 cup 

Milk (दूध) ---------- 1/2 cup 

Cream (क्रीम) ---------- 2 tablespoon

Garam masala (गरम मसाला) ---------- 1/4 smallspoon

Grind fenugreek (पीसी मेथी) ---------- 1 smallspoon

Finely chopped coriander leaves (बारीक कटी हुई धनिया पत्ते) ---------- 1 tablespoon

How to make Butter Chicken (बटर चिकन बनाने की विधि)

-> First washed the Chicken (चिकन) with clean water then after cut it into cubed. (चिकन को साफ़ पानी से धो कर काट ले)

-> Now take the Thick Yogurt (गाढ़ी दही) + Red Chilli Powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) + Tandoori masala (तंदूरी मसाला) + Tandoori color (तंदूरी रंग) + Salt (नमक) + Ginger-Garlic paste (अदरक-लहसुन पेस्ट) in a bowl and mixed very well. (गाढ़ी दही + लाल मिर्च पाउडर + तंदूरी मसाला + तंदूरी रंग + नमक + अदरक-लहसुन पेस्ट को मिला ले)

-> Now you add Chicken pieces (चिकन के टुकड़े) into it and mixed very well and keep aside. (ऊपर के मिश्रण में चिकन के टुकड़े अच्छी तरह मिला ले)

-> Now you cut the Tomato (टमाटर) into big pieces and blend it into mixi and make a smooth paste. (टमाटर को मोटे टुकड़े में काट कर पीस ले)

-> You also soaked the Cashewnuts (काजू) into hot water for 2 hour and then strain and grind the Cashewnuts (काजू) into a fine paste. (काजू को गरम पानी में भिगो कर बाद में मिक्सी में पीस ले)

For Curry (करी के लिए)

-> To make the curry first heat the Butter (मक्खन) in a pan and immediately add the Garlic paste (लहसुन पेस्ट) and fried it. (मक्खन + लहसुन पेस्ट को फ्राई करे)

-> Now you add Chopped green chilli (कटी हुई हरी मिर्च) + Cumin powder (जीरा पाउडर) + Red Chilli Powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) + Salt (नमक) + 1 tablespoon Water (पानी) and mixed very well and cook it for 2 - 3 minute. (अब इसमें कटी हुई हरी मिर्च + जीरा पाउडर + लाल मिर्च पाउडर + नमक + पानी मिला कर पका ले)

-> Now you add tomato paste (टमाटर का पेस्ट) and mixed it and cook it till the gravy leaves the side.Now you add cashewnut paste (काजू पेस्ट) and stir constantly. (टमाटर का पेस्ट + काजू पेस्ट मिला कर पका ले)

-> Now you add Tomato Ketchup (टोमैटो केचप) + Sugar (चीनी) + Water (पानी) and mixed very well and cooked it on medium flame gas. (इसमें  टोमैटो केचप + चीनी + पानी मिलाये)

-> In other pan shallow fry the marinated chicken pieces (मसालेदार चिकन के टुकड़े) for 4 - 5 minutes.  If overcooked then the chicken will get hard and stiff. Keep aside. (मसालेदार चिकन के टुकडो को दुसरे पैन में फ्राई करे)

-> Once the gravy comes to a boil add the chicken pieces (चिकन के टुकड़े) and mixed very well and cook for a minute. (ग्रेवी में चिकन के टुकड़े मिला कर पका ले)

-> Now you add Milk (दूध), mixed it and cook on medium flame for 1 minute. After you add Cream (क्रीम) and mixed very well. (अब इसमें दूध + क्रीम मिलाये)

-> At last you add Garam masala (गरम मसाला) + Grind fenugreek (पीसी मेथी) and mixed very well.Off the gas. (इसमें गरम मसाला + पीसी मेथी मिला कर गैस बंद कर दे)

-> Butter Chicken (बटर चिकन ) is ready. Transfer the chicken to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves (कटी हुई धनिया पत्ते) + Cream (क्रीम). (कटी हुई धनिया पत्ते + क्रीम से सजाये)

-> Served the Butter Chicken (बटर चिकन ) with naan (नान) or tandoori roti (तंदूरी रोटी). (नान + तंदूरी रोटी से परोसे)
