Carrot Kheer Recipe

गाजर की खीर

Ingredients (सामग्री)

Red Carrot (लाल गाजर) ---------- 400 gms

Milk (दूध) ---------- 1 liter or 5 cup 

Cashewnut (काजू) ---------- 1 spoon

Raisins (किशमिश) ---------- 1 spoon

Cardamom Powder (इलायची पाउडर) ---------- 4

Almond (बादाम) ---------- 5 

Sugar (चीनी) ---------- 100 gms or 1/2 cup

How to make Carrot Kheer (गाजर की खीर बनाने की विधि)

-> First keep the Milk (दूध) to warm. (दूध गरम करे)

-> Now washed the Red Carrot (लाल गाजर) and peel it and cut the upper part of the Red Carrot (लाल गाजर), after you grated the Red Carrot (लाल गाजर). (लाल गाजर धो कर छिले और कद्दुकस करे)

-> When Milk (दूध) comes to the boil then add grated Red Carrot (कद्दूकस करी लाल गाजर) and cooked it on medium flame gas. (दूध उबलने पर इसमें कद्दूकस करी लाल गाजर मिला कर गाढ़ा होने तक पकाये)

-> Now remove the stalk of the Raisins (किशमिश) and washed it with clean water, you also cuts the Cashewnut (काजू) + Almond (बादाम) into small pieces. (किशमिश धो कर डंठल तोड़ ले और काजू बादाम काट ले)

-> When Kheer (खीर) became cooked then add Cashewnut (काजू) + Almond (बादाम) and cooked. If you drop the 1 spoon Kheer (खीर) then Red Carrot (लाल गाजर) +  Milk (दूध) should fall together then off the gas. (खीर में काजू + बादाम डाल कर पकाये, जब दूध और लाल गाजर एक साथ गिरने लगे तो इसका मतलब है की खीर बन गई)

-> After you add Sugar (चीनी) and cooked it for 4 minute. Now off the gas and add Cardamom Powder (इलायची पाउडर) and mixed well. (खीर में चीनी + इलायची पाउडर मिला कर पकाये)

-> Your Carrot Kheer (गाजर की खीर) is ready. Garnished it with Almond (बादाम). You can eat this Kheer (खीर) into your fasting day.
