About Champakulam Church
Champakulam Church is also famous as St. Mary's Church or Champakulam Valia Palli. In 427 AD back this church was built. People believed that this church was one of the seven churches established by St. Thomas. Interior of the church is shipshape decorated with mural paintings. Champakulam Church had very friedly relations with the Jacobite Syrian group and had a pivotal role in many ecumenical efforts in the Eighteenth century.
Champakulam village offers the best glimpse of this religion's influence in the region. Due to its religious significance, it attracts many devotees throughout the year.
Main feast of Champakulam Church : This Church is famous for its annual feast that is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of October every year. Another famous feast is St. Joseph, that is celebrated on 19 March.
