Daal Khichdi

(दाल खिचड़ी)

Ingredients (सामग्री) : 


Basmati rice (बासमती चावल) ---------- 1 cup

Red chili powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) ---------- 1 smallspoon

Salt (नमक) ---------- to taste

Bay leaves (बे पत्ते) ---------- 3

Butter (मक्खन) ---------- 2 tablespoons

Split green gram skinless (धुली मूंग की दाल) ---------- 1/2 cup

Chopped Green chilies (कटा हुआ हरी मिर्च) ---------- 3-4

Chopped Onion (कटा प्याज) ---------- 1 medium

Finely chopped Ginger (बारीक़ कटा अदरक) ---------- 1 tablespoon

Finely chopped Garlic (बारीक़ कटा लहसुन) ---------- 1 tablespoon

Arrabiata sauce (अर्रबिअत सॉस) ---------- 3 tablespoons

Turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर) ---------- 1 smallspoon

Cumin seeds (जीरा) ---------- 1 smallspoon

Curry leaves (करी पत्ते) ---------- 15-20


How to make Daal Khichdi (दाल खिचड़ी बनाने की विधि)


-> First washes the Basmati rice (बासमती चावल) with clean water and soaked it into water. You also washed the Split green gram skinless (धुली मूंग की दाल) and soaked it into water. (बासमती चावल और धुली मूंग की दाल को धो कर पानी में भिगो कर रख दे)


-> Heat the Butter (मक्खन) in a pressure cooker. When Butter (मक्खन) became hot then add Cumin seeds (जीरा) + Curry leaves (करी पत्ते) + Chopped Onion (कटा प्याज) and fried it until Onion (प्याज) turn to golden brown in color. (मक्खन + जीरा + करी पत्ते + कटा प्याज को प्रेशर कुकर में फ्राई करे)


-> Now you add Finely chopped Ginger (बारीक़ कटा अदरक) +  Finely chopped Garlic (बारीक़ कटा लहसुन) + Chopped Green chilies (कटा हुआ हरी मिर्च) and cooked it for 2 minute. (अब इसमें बारीक़ कटा अदरक + बारीक़ कटा लहसुन + कटा हुआ हरी मिर्च मिला कर पका ले)


-> Now you add Basmati rice (बासमती चावल) + Split green gram skinless (धुली मूंग की दाल) and mixed very well. You also add the Arrabiata sauce (अर्रबिअत सॉस) and mixed very well. (इसमें बासमती चावल + धुली मूंग की दाल + अर्रबिअत सॉस मिला कर पका ले)


-> Now you add Turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर) + Red chili powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) + Salt (नमक) + Bay leaves (बे पत्ते) + 4 cup water (पानी) and mixed very well. Now covered the it by the lid. When cooker get  4 whistles the off the gas. (अब इसमें हल्दी पाउडर + नमक + बे पत्ते + पानी मिला कर कुकर का ढक्कन बंद कर के पका ले)


-> When the pressure of the cooker it removed then open the lid of the cooker.(कुकर का प्रेशर खत्म होने पर ढक्कन खोले)


-> Hot and tasty Daal Khichdi (दाल खिचड़ी) is ready. Served it hot.
