Dal Palak Recipe (दाल पालक व्यंजन)

Ingredients (सामग्री):


Chopped Spinach (कटा पालक) ----------- 15-20 leaves

Split green gram skinless (धूली मूंग दाल) ----------- 3/4 cup

Turmeric powder ( हल्दी पाउडर) ----------- 1/2 tsp

Cumin seeds (जीरा बीज) ----------- 1 tsp

Chopped Ginger (कटा अदरक) ----------- 6-8 cloves

Chopped Garlic ( कटा लहसुन) ----------- 1 inch piece

Chopped Green chilies (कटी हरी मिर्च) ----------- 2

Chopped Onions (कटी प्याज) ----------- 1 medium

Salt (नमक) ----------- to taste

Asafoetida (हिंग) ----------- a pinch

Ghee or oil (घी ,तेल) ----------- 2 tsp

Lemon juice (नीबू रस) ----------- 1 tsp


How to make Dal Palak (बनाने की विधि) :


-> Cook moong dal (धूली मूंग दाल) with half the turmeric powder ( हल्दी पाउडर) and asafoetida (हिंग) till soft. (धूली मूंग दाल + हल्दी पाउडर + हिंग मिला कर पकाये)


-> Heat Ghee or oil ( घी ,तेल) in a pan. Now add Cumin seeds (जीरा) + Chopped Ginger (कटा अदरक) + Chopped Garlic ( कटा लहसुन) + Chopped Green chilies (कटी हरी मिर्च) and fry it for 1 minute. (तेल + जीरा + कटा अदरक + कटा लहसुन + कटी हरी मिर्च मिला कर फ़्राइ करे)


-> Add Chopped Onions (कटी प्याज) and fry it until it became golden brown. Now add Chopped Spinach (कटा पालक) and cook it for 1/2 minute. Add the remaining turmeric powder and stir continiously. (इसमें कटी प्याज + कटा पालक मिला कर पकाये)


-> Now add dal and mix well and add Salt (नमक) + 1 cup water (पानी) and cook it for 1/2 minute. Dal Palak is ready to served. (इसमें दाल + नमक + पानी मिला कर पकाये)


-> Dal Palak (दाल पालक) is ready. Before serving add Lemon juice (नीबू रस) (नीबू रस मिला कर परोसे)
