The district shares common boundaries with Nainital district on the North side.The main river of the district is Ramganga river that flows from West to the South-East, separating Tehsil Anola from the rest of the district.Other river of this district are Siddha, Dojora, Bahgul (west), Sankha, Deoranian and Nakatia flowing through the district in Southern and South-Eastern direction to join the Ramganga river.
