Dhule district is a district of Maharashtra state in central India and Dhule city is the administrative headquarters of the district.

Geography of Dhule
District is bounded by district Nandurbar  in the North-West , District Nashik in south and  District Jalgaon in East. north by Satpuda Hill ranges.District covers the 8,063 km2 area.

Main Rivers : Tapi river originating from ranges of Gavilgad  is the major river in the District. Tributaries of Tapi river are as below -- Tapi River - Arunavati , Vaki , Bori , Panzara , Kan, Aner , Gomati  Burai , Amaravati , Madari , Bhad , Nagan.

Latitude of Dhule  city :   20 38'  to 21 61' N
Longitude of Dhule city :  73 50' to 75 11' E.

About Dhule District
The District of Dhulia was previously known as West Khandesh district On 1 July 1998, Dhule district was then bifurcated in 2 separate districts now known as Dhule and Nandurbar.

The city of Dhule is situated at a distance of about 340 kilometers from Mumbai. Pune lies at a distance of approximately 350 kilometers. There are 3 major National Highways passing through the Dhule district. They are NH-6, NH-3 and NH-211.
