Economy of Lohardaga District
People of his district mainly depend on agriculture, forest produce and seasonal migration to different parts of the country.Paddy is the main crop of this district. Some people engaged in handicrafts works. Major handicrafts are based on forest or farm such as mat making from the leaves of khajoor (Date Plum), bamboo based products and ropes, and other jute based products.
