Madhubani district is bounded on North side by Hill region of Nepal, on South side by Darbhanga District, on east side by Supaul District and west side by Sitamarhi District. Madhubani district occupies a total of 3501 sq. kms.

About Madhubani District
The district of Madhubani was carved out of the old Darbhanga district in the year 1972 as a result of reorganisation of the districts in the State. Tharu tribe and Bhar were the early inhabitants of this region. Videha kingdom also included a huge portion of Madhubani District.
