Panchkula district is the newly formed 17th district of Haryana state in India. Panchkula city is the headquarters of this district

Geography of Panchkula
Panchkula district is bounded on North side by Himachal Pradesh, on east side it is bounded by ambala district, on south side by the Chandigarh, on west side by the Punjab state.

Panchkula district has a sub tropical continental monsoon climate where we find seasonal rhythm, hot summer, cool winter, unreliable rainfall and great variation in temperature.

Main Rivers : Ghaggar, Sirsa nadi, Kaushalya are the main rivers of this district.

On 15th August, 1995, Panchkula district was formed. Panchkula is a planned city in Panchkula District, Haryana, India. It is a satellite city of the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
