Parbhani district earlier also known as Prabhavatinagar, is a districts of Marathawada region of Maharashtra State of India. Parbhani city is the headquarters of this district.

Geography of Parbhani
Parbhani district is bounded on the north side by Hingoli district. On the east side  by Nanded district, on the South side by Latur and on the West side by Beed and Jalna districts.Parbhani covers 6250 sq kms

Longitude of Parbhani city : 76.13 and 77.39 East

About Parbhani District
Parbhani  District  is also known as Land of Saints because there were several saints from this part of Maharashtra. Some of the very famous saints are Namdeo from Narsi and Janabai from Gangakhed.
