Dried Fish Kuzhambu

सूखी मछली कुज्हम्बू 

Ingredients (सामग्री)

Dried Fish (सूखी मछली) ---------- 1/4 kg

Tamarind (इमली) ---------- 1 small lemon sized 

Tomatoes (टमाटर) ---------- 2

Chopped Small Onions (कटा छोटा प्याज) ---------- 150 gms

Chilly Powder (मिर्च पाउडर) ---------- 1 tablespoon

Garlic (लहसुन) ---------- 5 flakes

Coriander powder (धनिया पाउडर) ---------- 1/2 tablespoon

Cumin Seeds (जीरा) ---------- 1/2 smallspoon

Fennel Seeds (सौंफ़ बीज) ---------- 1/4 smallspoon

Pepper (काली मिर्च) ---------- 1/4 smallspoon

Curry leaves (करी पत्ते)

Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर) ---------- 1/4 smallspoon

Oil (तेल) ---------- For requirement

Salt (नमक) ---------- To taste

How to make Dried Fish Kuzhambu (सूखी मछली कुज्हम्बू बनाने की विधि)

-> First washed the Dried Fish (सूखी मछली) and cut into pieces. (सूखी मछली को धो कर छोटे टुकडो में काटे)

-> Now heat the Oil (तेल) in a fry pan. When Oil (तेल) became hot then fry the Dried Fish pieces (सूखी मछली के टुकड़े) and keep aside.(तेल + सूखी मछली के टुकड़े फ्राई करे)

-> Soaked the Tamarind (इमली) in a 1/4 cup water (पानी) and prepare the Tamarind extract (इमली एक्सट्रेक्ट).(इमली को पानी में भिगो कर इमली एक्सट्रेक्ट बना ले)

-> Grind the Coriander powder (धनिया पाउडर) + Fennel Seeds (सौंफ़ बीज) + Chilly Powder (मिर्च पाउडर) with little water. (धनिया पाउडर + सौंफ़ बीज + मिर्च पाउडर को थोड़े पानी के साथ पीस ले)

-> Now heat the 2 tablespoon Oil (तेल) in a fry pan. When Oil (तेल) became hot then add Curry Leaves (करी पत्ती) + Chopped Small Onions (कटा छोटा प्याज) and fried it for 2 minutes. (तेल + करी पत्ती + कटा छोटा प्याज को फ्राई करे)

-> After you add Garlic (लहसुन) + chopped Tomatoes (कटा हुआ टमाटर) + ground paste (पीसा पेस्ट) and cook it till the oil comes out. (अब इसमें लहसुन + कटा हुआ टमाटर + पीसा पेस्ट मिला कर फ्राई करे)

-> Now you add Tamarind extract (इमली एक्सट्रेक्ट) and mix it and boil it. (इसमें इमली एक्सट्रेक्ट मिलाये और पकाये)

-> Now add fried fish (तली हुई मछली) + Salt (नमक) and allow to boil it.When it become thicken then off the gas. (अब इसमें तली हुई मछली + नमक मिलाये और पकाये)

-> Dried Fish Kuzhambu (सूखी मछली कुज्हम्बू) is ready.
