Fish Pie

मछली पाई

Ingredients (सामग्री)

Potatoes (आलू) ---------- 1.25 Kg

Spring onions (स्प्रिंग प्याज) ---------- 1 bunch 

Fish fillets (मछली फिल्लेट्स) of your choice ---------- 1 kg 

Olive oil (जैतून का तेल) ---------- 3 tablespoons 

Salt (नमक) ---------- To taste

Pepper (काली मिर्च) ---------- To taste

Milk (दूध) ---------- 150ml 

Egg (अंडा) ---------- 1

Butter (मक्खन) ---------- 60g 

Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर) ---------- 1 teaspoon 

Chopped zucchini (कटी हुई तोरी) ---------- 4 medium 

Lightly crushed cardamom (हल्के से कुटी इलायची) ---------- 4 

Tomato puree (टमाटर प्यूरी) ---------- 2 cups 

How to make Fish Pie (मछली पाई बनाने की विधि)

-> First peel the Potatoes (आलू) and cut into small cubes. And Cook Potatoes (आलू) in salted water (नमकीन पानी) for 15 minutes or until tender. (आलू को छिले और क्यूब में काटे और नमकीन पानी के साथ पका ले)

-> Now remove the white bulb ends from Spring onions (स्प्रिंग प्याज) and roughly chop. Finely slice the green tops and set aside. (स्प्रिंग प्याज में से सफ़ेद प्याज को अलग कर दे और हरे भाग को काटे)

-> Now Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Spread fish pieces (मछली के टुकड़े) on a baking tray and scatter over the chopped white spring onion bulbs (कटा हुआ सफेद स्प्रिंग प्याज बल्ब). Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of the Olive oil (जैतून का तेल) + Salt (नमक) + Pepper (काली मिर्च) and roast it for 6 minutes. (मछली के टुकड़े पर कटा हुआ सफेद स्प्रिंग प्याज बल्ब रखे और इस पर जैतून का तेल + नमक + काली मिर्च डाले और ओवन में रॉस्त करे)

-> Now Drain potatoes (आलू) well, add Milk (दूध) + Egg (अंडा) and then mash. (आलू को पानी में से निकाले और इसमें दूध + अंडा मिला कर मैश कर ले)

-> Now Melt Butter (मक्खन) in a small pan, add the green spring onion (हरी स्प्रिंग प्याज) tops and cook for 1 minute. (मक्खन + हरी स्प्रिंग प्याज को फ्राई करे)

-> Add Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर) and stir for 30 seconds and then add it all to the mashed potato (मैश किए हुए आलू) and mix well. Add Salt (नमक) + Pepper (काली मिर्च) to taste. (अब इसमें हल्दी पाउडर + मैश किए हुए आलू + नमक + काली मिर्च मिलाये)

-> Now heat remaining Olive oil (जैतून का तेल) in a large frying pan. When oil (तेल) became hot then add Chopped zucchini (कटी हुई तोरी) and fried it for 5 minute. Now you add Lightly crushed cardamom (हल्के से कुटी इलायची) and fry for 30 seconds. (जैतून का तेल + कटी हुई तोरी + इलायची को फ्राई करे)

-> Now you add Tomato puree (टमाटर प्यूरी) and bring to boil then simmer for 1 minute.You also add some Salt (नमक) + Pepper (काली मिर्च) to taste. Off the gas and cool it. You also remove the cardamom (इलायची). (अब इसमें टमाटर प्यूरी + नमक + काली मिर्च मिला कर पका ले, ठंडा कर के इलायची निकाल दे)

-> Pour sauce (चटनी) over fish and Spring onions (स्प्रिंग प्याज) and cover it all with the mashed potato (मैश किए हुए आलू) so the sauce and fish are covered. Rough up the top with a fork. Bake for 35-40 minutes. (इस चटनी को मछली और स्प्रिंग प्याज और मैश किए हुए आलू से कवर करे और इसको बेक्ड करे)

-> Fish Pie (मछली पाई) is ready.
