Galtaji Temple is a sacred pilgrimage center of Jaipur. Galtaji is an historical and pristine Hindu pilgrimage site and located 10 km from Jaipur. The most well-known temple built on the top of a hill. It consists of a huge complex and is well-known due to the large group of monkeys who live here


Location : It is located just 10 kms away from Jaipur in Rajasthan or near to Sisodia Rani ka Bagh, On Jaipur-Agra Highway


About Galtaji Temple

One temple in Galtaji Complex is dedicated to the Sun God and one for is dedicated to God Hanuman. Galtaji is famous for its natural water springs. Galtaji Temple offers a infrequent view of the city. 


The Shrine is decked with curved roofs, wonderfully designed pillars and decorated walls. This shrine is built in pink sandstone.In this temple there is 7 holiest Kund. To take the bath in the holy waters of Galtaji, is  thought to be auspicious Thousands of people come every year to take a holy dip in the tanks to rinse out their sins.  A large number of people take a holy bath in these tanks, especially on Makar Sankranti.


Galtaji temple is a house of many temple. Ghat ke Balaji is a Surya Temple and dedicated to the Sun God built in the 18th century. Other Temple is Lord Hanuman, Lord Shiva-family and Lord Krishna that are the most visited temples at Galtaji.



Saint Galav spent his life a long period of time and meditating here, for this reason this place became a holy shrine in jaipur. Diwan Rao Kriparam was built this temple in the 18th Century. He was the courtier of Sawai Jai Singh II.The exceptional structure of the Temple looks more like a house or Haveli. 


Main Features : Galtaji Temple complex comprises various shrines, pavilions, virtuous kunds and natural springs. Natural water springs draw special attention of the visitors.
