Green Chana Aloo Curry

 (हरा चना आलू करी)

Ingredients (सामग्री):


Green gram (हरा चना) ---------- 250 gms or 1 cup

Potato (आलू) ---------- 250 gms

Turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर) ---------- 1/2 small spoon

Oil (तेल) ---------- 2-3 tablespoon

Coriander Powder (धनिया पाउडर) ---------- 1 small spoon

Red chilli powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) ---------- less tne 1/2 small spoon

Garam masala (गरम मसाला) ---------- 1/2 small spoon

Green Coriander (हरा धनियां) ---------- 2-3 table spoon

Sesame (तिल) ---------- 2 table spoon

Tomatoes (टमाटर) ---------- 4 medium sized

Ginger (अदरक) ---------- 1 inch long pieces

Green pepper (हरी मिर्च) ---------- 1-2

Asafoetida (हींग) ---------- 2 pinch

Cumin (जीरा) ---------- 1/2 small spoon

Salt (नमक) ---------- To taste


How to make Green Chana Aloo Curry (हरा चना आलू करी बनाने की विधि)


-> First clean the Green gram (हरा चना) and washed it with clean water (पानी) and boiled the Potato (आलू). (हरा चना धो ले और आलू उबाले)


-> Peel the boiled Potato (आलू) and Break it. Now heat some oil(तेल) on tava and fry the boiled Potato (उबला हुआ आलू) for 5-6 minute. (उबला हुआ आलू) on medium flame. (उबले आलू तोड़ कर तवे पर फ़्राइ करे )


-> Now roast the Sesame (तिल) on tava til they trun to golden brown. Now take roasted Sesame (भुना हुआ तिल) + Tomatoes (टमाटर) + Onion (प्याज) + Garlic (लहुसन) + Ginger (अदरक) + Green pepper (हरी मिर्च) in a grinder and grind it into mixi. Keep this mixture (मिश्रण) into bowl.  (भुना तिल + टमाटर + प्याज + लहुसन + अदरक + हरी मिर्च पीस ले)


-> Now take a fry pan and put on the gas. Now add 1 tablespoon Oil (तेल) and heat it. When Oil (तेल) became hot then add Cumin (जीरा) + Asafoetida (हींग) and fry it. After you add Turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर) + Coriander Powder (धनिया पाउडर) + Red chilli powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) + Sesame-Tomatoes-Onion-Green pepper paste (तिल-टमाटर-प्याज-मिर्च का पेस्ट) and fry this masala. Cook this masala until the oil began to leave the masala spices. (तेल + जीरा + हींग + हल्दी पाउडर + लाल मिर्च पाउडर + धनिया पाउडर +  तिल-टमाटर-प्याज-मिर्च का पेस्ट मिला कर तब तक फ़्राइ करे जब तक मसाला तेल न छोड़ने लगे)


-> Now add Green gram (हरा चना) + 1/2 Cup water (पानी) + Salt (नमक) into this Masala. Covered it by lid and cooked it on medium flam til Green gram (हरा चना) became soft. (हरा चना + पानी  + नमक मिलाकर पकाये)


-> When Green gram (हरा चना) became soft the you can add more water according to your requirement of Curry. After you add fried potato (तला हुआ आलू) + Garam masala (गरम मसाला) (हरे चने मुलायम होने पर तला हुआ आलू + गरम मसाला मिलाये)


-> Cooked this sabzi for 3-4 minute on medium. And off the gas and add Green Coriander (हरा धनियां) (हरा धनियां डालकर गैस बन्द करे)


-> Your Green Green Chana Aloo Curry (हरा चना आलू करी) is ready. Served it with Naan (नान), Roti (रोटी), Paratha (परांठां), poori (पूरी) or Rice (चावल).(नान-रोटी-परांठां-पूरी-चावल के साथ परोसे)

 (गुजराती कढ़ी)

Ingredients (सामग्री)

Slightly sour yogurt (थोड़ी खट्टी दही) ---------- 400 gms or 2 cup

Salt (नमक) ---------- to taste
