About Educational Institute

In 1920 Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur  was set up and reach its origins to Government Research Institute, Cawnpore. In 1921 the renamed of this institute as "Government Technological Institute". In 1926, the institute derived its present name and came to be famous as Harcourt Butler Technological Institute HBTI.  

Harcourt Butler Technological Institute is spread across two campuses, the east campus (77 acres) and the west campus (271 acres) situated about 3 km apart, affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. Offers courses by this college is  approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
