The presiding deity of this temple is is Bala Gopala means Lord Krishna. Archeology Department of India was collect the manuscript of this temple that are estimated to be of 2500 years old. During the reign of Chrirakkal Rajavamsham this temple became very virtuous place and it served as the venue for a unique feeding ritual called Annadhanam.
