The temple is situated at the top of a peak at an altitude of 1337 m above sea level. This temple is considered to be around 2000 years old. This temple is dedicated to Godess Mangala. Main deity of this temple is Kannaki. he temple is popular for the special pujas performed on the day of Chitra Pournami.
This Temple is closed throughout the year so that the visits are not allowed to visit the temple throughout the year. Only during the Chithra Pournami festival, devotees are permitted to visit this temple. This festival is celebrated in the month of April- May.
