Masoor Dal recipe

 (मसूर दाल)

Ingredients (सामग्री)


Whole Masoor Dal (साबुत छिलका मसूर दाल) ---------- 200 gms

Chopped Green Coriander (कटा हरा धनियां) ---------- 1 tablespoon

Green Chilies (हरी मिर्च) ---------- 2-3

Ginger (अदरक) ---------- 1 inch long pieces

Coriander Powder (धनियां पाउडर) ---------- 1 smallspoon

Salt (नमक) ---------- to taste

Ghee (घी) ---------- 2 tablespoon

Asafoetida (हींग) ---------- 1 pinch 

Cumin (जीरा) ---------- 1/2 smallspoon

Tomatoes (टमाटर) ---------- 3-4

Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर) ---------- 1/2 smallspoon

Red Chili Powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) ---------- 1/4 spoon

Garam Masala (गरम मसाला) ---------- 1/4 spoon


How to make Masoor Dal recipe (मसूर दाल बनाने की विधि)


-> First clean the Whole Masoor Dal (साबुत छिलका मसूर दाल) and washed it with water and soak it into water for 7-8 hours. (दाल  धो कर पानी मे भिगो कर रख दे)


-> Now takenout the into water and again washed it with clean water. Now take this lentils ( दाल ) into pressure cooker and add 2 cup water + Salt (नमक) + Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर) and mixed well. Cooked this lentils (दाल). (मसूर दाल + पानी + हल्दी को प्रेशर कुकर में पका लो)


-> When cooker gives the one Whistle (सीटी) then reduce gas and cook lentils for 3-4 minutes more. After you off the gas. Now prepare the masala. ( एक सीटी के बाद.3-4  मिनट तक दाल पकाये)


-> Now take Tomatoes (टमाटर) + Green Chilies (हरी मिर्च) + Ginger (अदरक) and grind it into mixi and make a smooth paste. (टमाटर + हरी मिर्च + अदरक पीस ले)


-> Now take a fry pan and heat the Oil (तेल). When Oil (तेल) became hot then add Cumin (जीरा) + Asafoetida (हींग) and fried it. Now you add Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर) + Coriander Powder (धनियां पाउडर) + Red Chili Powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) and slightly fried it. (तेल + जीरा + हींग + हल्दी पाउडर + धनियां पाउडर + लाल मिर्च पाउडर  फ़्राइ करे)


-> Now you add Tomatoes-Green Chilies-Ginger (टमाटर-हरी मिर्च-अदरक) paste. cooked all these masala unitil Oil (तेल) should not be separated by masala.(टमाटर-हरी मिर्च-अदरक मिला कर मसाले को तब तक भूनिये जब तक कि मसाले के ऊपर घी तैरने लगे.)


-> Now add the boiled Whole Masoor Dal (साबुत छिलका मसूर दाल) + Salt (नमक). You can add water according to your requirement. And cooked this lentils (दाल) for 3-4 minute. After off the gas and you add Garam Masala (गरम मसाला) + Coriander Powder (धनियां पाउडर) and mixed very well. (मसूर दाल + नमक + गरम मसाला + धनियां पाउडर मसालो मे मिलाये  और पका लो)


-> Masoor Dal recipe (मसूर दाल) is ready. Served it with Rotil (चपाती), Naan (नान) or Rice (चावल). (दाल को चपाती,नान,चावल के साथ परोसे)
