Methi murgh

मेथी मुर्ग

Ingredients (सामग्री)

1 large chicken and cut into 8 pieces (चिकन 8 टुकड़ो में कटा हुआ)

Oil (तेल) ---------- 1/4 cup 

Cumin seeds (जीरा) ---------- 1 teaspoon 

Cinnamon (दालचीनी) ---------- 1 stick 

Black cardamom (काली इलायची/ बड़ी इलायची) ---------- 1

Cloves (लौंग) ---------- 4 

Sliced Onions (कटा हुआ प्याज) ---------- 1 Large-sized 

Ginger-garlic paste (अदरक, लहसुन पेस्ट) ---------- 1 tablespoon 

Chopped Green chilies (कटी हुई हरी मिर्च) ---------- 4 

Turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर) ---------- 1/2 smallspoon

Red chilli powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) ---------- 1/2 smallspoon

Salt (नमक) ---------- To taste

Chopped methi leaves (कटी मेथी) ---------- 1/2 cup 

Chopped spinach (कटा पालक) ---------- 1/2 cup 

Kasoori methi (कसूरी मेथी) ---------- 1 tablespoon 

Garam masala (गरम मसाला) ---------- 1/2 smallspoon

How to make Methi murgh (मेथी मुर्ग बनाने की विधि)

-> First heat the Oil (तेल) in a pressure cooker. When Oil (तेल) became hot then add Chicken pieces (चिकन के टुकड़े) and fried it until it turn to golden brown in color about  5 minute. Take the Chicken pieces (चिकन के टुकड़े) out and set aside. (तेल + चिकन के टुकड़ो को फ्राई करे)

-> Now you add Cumin seeds (जीरा) + Cinnamon (दालचीनी) + Black cardamom (काली इलायची/ बड़ी इलायची) + Cloves (लौंग) and fried it for 1 minute. (बचे तेल में जीरा + दालचीनी + काली इलायची/ बड़ी इलायची + लौंग को फ्राई करे)

-> After you add Sliced Onions (कटा हुआ प्याज) + Ginger-garlic paste (अदरक, लहसुन पेस्ट) + Chopped Green chilies (कटी हुई हरी मिर्च) and fried it until Onions (प्याज) turn to golden brown in color. (इसमें कटा हुआ प्याज + अदरक-लहसुन पेस्ट + कटी हुई हरी मिर्च मिला कर फ्राई करे)

-> After you add Turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर) + Red chilli powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) + Salt (नमक) + Chopped methi leaves (कटी मेथी) + Chopped spinach (कटा पालक) + Kasoori methi (कसूरी मेथी) mixed very well and cooked it till all green vegetables (हरी सब्जियां) are slightly cooked and change color. (इसमें हल्दी पाउडर + लाल मिर्च पाउडर + नमक + कटी मेथी + कटा पालक + कसूरी मेथी मिलाये और पकाये)

-> Now you add water (पानी) + fried Chicken pieces (फ्राइड चिकन के टुकड़े) and mixed it and boil for a few minutes. Now cover the lid of the cooker and cooked it for 3 whistles or until the chicken is tender. (पानी + फ्राइड चिकन के टुकड़े मिला कर कुकर में पका ले)

-> When the pressure of the cooker is remove then add Garam masala (गरम मसाला) and cook on high heat for a few minutes so the gravy thickens.(प्रेशर खत्म होने पर ढक्कन खोले और गरम मसाला मिलाये)

-> Methi murgh (मेथी मुर्ग ) is ready. Served it with parathas (पराठा ) or rice (चावल) (पराठा + चावल से परोसे)
