Moong Dal Kadhi Recipe

 (मूंग दाल की कढी)

Ingredients (सामग्री)

Moong Dal (धूली मूंग की दाल) ---------- 300 gms or 1-1/2 cup 

Yogurt (दही) ---------- 500 gms or 2-1/2 cup

Grated ginger (कद्दूकस किया अदरक) ---------- 1 spoon

Red Chili Powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) ---------- 1/4 smallspoon 

Salt (नमक) ---------- To taste

Asafoetida (हींग) ----------2-3 pinch

Chopped Green Coriander (कटा हरा धनियां) ---------- 1 tablespoon

Oil (तेल) ---------- For Kadhi and pakodi

Cumin (जीरा) ----------1/2 spoon

Fenugreek Seeds (मैथी के दाने) ---------- 1/2 smallspoon

Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर) ---------- 1/2 smallspoon

Coriander Powder (धनियां पाउडर) ---------- 1 smallspoon

Green Chili (हरी मिर्च) ---------- 2-3

How to make Moong Dal Kadhi Recipe (मूंग दाल की कढी बनाने की विधि)

-> First soak the Moong Dal (धूली मूंग की दाल) into water (पानी) for 2-3 hours. (दाल  धो कर पानी मे भिगो कर रख दे)

-> Taken out this daal into the Water and grind it inot grinder. Do not grind the Moong Dal (धूली मूंग की दाल) thin. Now divide this daal into two part. In one part mixed the Yogurt (दही) + 2 liter water (पानी) and mixed very well. This is ready to make the kadhi. (दाल को दरदरा पीस ले और २ भाग करे, एक भाग मे दही + पानी मिलाये)

-> Now take other part of daal into a bowl and add Coriander Powder (धनियां पाउडर) + Salt (नमक) + Red Chili Powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) and mixed very well. This mixture is ready to make pakodi (दुसरे भाग मे धनियां पाउडर + नमक + लाल मिर्च पाउडर मिलाये ये पकौड़ी बनाने के लिये तैयार है)

-> Now heat the Oil (तेल) in fry pan. When Oil (तेल) became hot then take some portaion of pakodi mixture (पकोडी मिश्रण) and make the pakodi (पकोडी) and fried it. Fried the pakodi (पकोडी) both side. Taken out the pakodi (पकोडी) in plate. (पकोडी मिश्रण ले कर तेल मे तल ले)

-> Now take a fry pan and heat the Oil (तेल). When Oil (तेल) became hot then add Cumin (जीरा) + Asafoetida (हींग) + Fenugreek Seeds (मैथी के दाने) and fried. When they fried then you add Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर) + Chopped green chilies (बारीक कटी हरी मिर्च) + Red Chili Powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) and fried it for 1 minute. (तेल + जीरा + हींग + मैथी के दाने + हल्दी पाउडर + हरी मिर्च + लाल मिर्च पाउडर  फ़्राइ करे)

-> Now you add kadhi mixture. Cooked it 2-3 minute on high flame gas. When it comes to boil then slow the gas flame. Now you add Salt (नमक) and cooked it for 20 to 25 minute. But stir this kadhi in regular basis. (इसमे कढ़ी घोल + नमक मिला कर पकाये)

-> Your Moong Dal Kadhi Recipe (मूंग दाल की कढी ) is ready. Now you add pakodi (पकोडी) and cooked it for 2-3 minute more. Off the gas.(पकोडी मिला कर 2 मिनिट पकाये)

-> Taken out the Moong Dal Kadhi Recipe (मूंग दाल की कढी ) in bowl and garnished it with Chopped Green Coriander (कटा हरा धनियां).(हरे धनिये से सजाये)
