In year 2009, Unnamalai Institute of Technology was started its academic session.Unnamalai Trust is managed and run the Unnamalai Institute of Technology (UIT), Thoothukudi. This institute is affiliated to Anna University (AU), Chennai and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Government of Tamilnadu. Main objective of this institute is impart Discipline cum Quality based Technical Education for the welfare of students to cater the requirements of Industrial, scientific and research needs.

Eligibility Criteria

To take the admission in BE / B Tech / UG / Undergraduate courses candidate passed the 12th standard of Tamil Nadu H.S.C. (Academic) or an equivalent examination recognised by Anna University with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with 60 % marks for OC candidate, 55 % marks for BC candidatae, 50 % marks for MBC/DNC candidate and just passed for SC / ST candidate

Admission Procedure:

B.Tech / B.E Courses: Admission is based on qualifying examination marks and as per rules and regulations of Anna University of Technology and as per the Government of Tamil Nadu norms through State Government Counselling (TNEA) and through regulated management seat procedures.
